Fresh Start

 Here’s to a healthy 2016! Let’s start smart with a tropical acai bowl for two!

Ingredients:
2 packets of frozen acai berry packets. I used Sambazon Acai 3.5 oz pack
1-2 ripe bananas (frozen)
1/2 cup of almond milk
1 cup of granola
1 cup of sliced strawberries
1 cup of blueberries

Fruity toppings (I used, blueberries, sliced bananas, sliced kiwi, raspberries, sliced starfruit,  strawberries, shredded coconut and black berries)

Directions:

1.  Thaw your frozen açaí packet by running under water for a few seconds then add to blender.
2.  In a blender, add 1-2 frozen bananas, 1/2 cup of strawberries, 1/2 cup of blueberries, 1/2 cup of granola and almond milk. (Save the rest of the fruit to use as toppings).
3.  Blend on low until larger chunks are broken down, then gradually increase speed.
4.  Stop when the mixture is the desired consistency of a thick smoothie, then blend on high for an additional 15 to 20 seconds.
5.  Add toppings! Arrange the fruit and granola in any way you would like! I garnished ours with edible flowers!
6.  Enjoy your beautiful açaí bowl!
