Pedal Power

Get those wheels turning, literally, and let your creative juices start flowing when you step outside the box and try something new. Ride instead of drive for a change and burn a few extra calories while you’re at it. When temps start to warm up, I love to get out and get fit in different ways that will keep me healthy while having fun. If you mix up your basic workout routine you can challenge your body, and your brain to work harder.

For starters, by simply taking your two wheels out to explore or do everyday errands, you can get some fresh air and your blood flowing, even if you’re not setting out for an actual “workout”. This will prevent you from falling into a rut and keep you on your toes when it comes to staying active.

Just by motivating to move and making smart choices when it comes to snacks and energy drinks, you can start to be proactive when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle. I’ve teamed up with vitaminwater zero to quench my thirst and give me the boost I need to keep going during my busy day. Whether I’m working out or running between meetings, I love the refreshing taste and healthy benefits I get from every sip.

Checkout a few fun ways to amp up your ride and burn calories while you cruise on my workout collab with She Knows.

Now, get cruising, Girls!

XOXO,
NYC

I love this! I ride my bike to commute to and from work in Chicago whenever the weather permits. I work full time in advertising, finishing up my MBA at Kellogg and am the Founder and CEO of shopsewn.co, an online boutique featuring the best of slow fashion designers. I try to live by the principles that my business stands for: being mindful about what I put on my body, in my body, and how I treat my body. It’s so hard to get it all done, and get a work out in, so I lovingly turn to my bike to help clear my mind, energize my body, and save the environment some CO2!

I love seeing a shared passion for bike commuting! XO
