Gov Ball NYC

Gov Ball NYC was a blast this year! And to make it more special I got the VIP treatment from OGX Beauty at their sweet festival cabana! We were invited to rock out for the weekend and see some amazing bands. Some of my faves like Chance the Rapper, Lorde and The Bleachers, and new music that I’d never heard before and was super psyched to see, like Charles Bradley! It was the perfect day for an outdoor festival and was my first time at Gov Ball, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I loved every minute of it! We were greeted at the OGX cabana to get pampered and braided at the beauty bar by the talented Austin Thornton and I tested out some great new products too. My faves were the Moroccan Sea Salt Spray for a little extra texture after my ‘do was done and the Coconut Water Hydration Spray for a hint of shine. And, a simple braided crown was the perfect no-fuss way to wear my hair for the festival.

We roamed the grassy fields and bopped around from stage to stage listening to great music all day long, trying out lots of yummy snacks too. Our cabana had all of my faves like mini tacos, french fries, mini sandwiches, and corn kabobs too! As the sun started to set the crowd got bigger and more excited for the big finale show (Chance The Rapper). We toasted to a great day and gathered on our balcony with fellow bloggers and new friends for a perfect end to a fabulous day. Can’t wait for more summer festivals and hopefully to come back to Gov Ball again next year!
