Hey, Sporties! Time to share a little mid-week motivation with you!
In the midst of the New York Fashion Week frenzy I made sure to stick to my workout schedule and sneak in some creative ways to crunch calories between fashion shows.
It’s actually easier than you may think to sweat on-the-go, no matter what your day is like. Just think outside-the-box and use your own body weight and simple workout accessories to get the job done—anytime, anywhere. Think; lunges, running multiple reps up and down city steps, power push-ups and even old-school jumping jacks!
I also love stashing these light-weight resistance bands in my bag for spontaneous workouts and toning sessions when traveling or running from meeting to meeting. You can strengthen your muscles with simple reps (5-10 on each side) alternating arms and legs, depending on your fitness goals. They’re also great to whip out at night when watching TV or during cold winter months when hitting the gym seems impossible!
It’s a simple, inexpensive way to stay on track and stick to your healthy habits and fitness routine. Give it a try, and get creative. You’d be surprised how much these little bands can help you stay fit and focused!
